Cruise on Grand

Escondido, California has a cruise night on Grand Ave that is pretty cool. Lots of old and customized hot rods, and cars. My favorite was this purple job from 1940. I liked the art, the decal and the reflection of palms on the trunk.

The first car we saw was this yellow hot rod sponsored by Harrah's Casino.

... and this 50's vintage ford with moon hubcaps

Classic Coupe hot rod complete with flames

I like this red, subtlely flames sedan

This classic hot rod convertible in basic black made me drool a bit.

This classic Woody and several others reminded me we were in southern California.

This one reminded me of the ZZTop's car. Great music from Texas not quite country but who ever cared.

They were lined up and down the streets around Grand Avenue - this is a cross street.

Big engine little car great combination......

Another Woody this time a Mercury

Huge crowd and lots of cars and very worth the drive down to see it all.

We loved the mini-cooper with the mini-mechanic under the hood (a doll in work clothes)
