Columbia River Gorge

On the way to Columbia Gorge and Skamania Coves we passed Mount Hood...
 ...a great mountain...
...and saw the Moraine now a riverbed...
...where we were able to park and enjoy the view.
We arrived at Skamania Coves RV park to find a great and scenic campsite...
...with a great view of an Osprey nest on the Columbia River ...
 ...and some pretty wildflowers...
 ...and an almost full moon...

...and a fantastic landscape of Oregon across the river.
 The Columbia river barge...
...and Riverboat traffic.
The town of Stevenson was interesting with BBQ grills...
 ...a really cool pier...
... a view of the "Bridge of the Gods"...
and a fisherman on a rock...
...and a log cabin coffee drive thru.
We visited the town of Hood River which has several interesting places...
... and ate lunch at the "River Daze Cafe...
... then went back to Skamania Coves to find a dragon taking up residence on our antenna.
Later we drove to Bonneville Dam and went to the fish hatchery ...
... we saw a 70 year old sturgeon ...
...and some very nice hatchery buildings.
We then went to the town of Cascade Locks to see a great statue of Sacagawea...
...some fishermen looking for the perfect Chinook Salmon...
...and the Bridge of the Gods"...
...and the mural beneath...
...and a great view of the Columbia River.
