A Week in Garibaldi's Neighborhood

The big "G" is for Garibaldi, Oregon

It is a sweet little town with a great Coast Guard Pier...

Bald Eagles...

... Memorable vistas...

... and lot of color.

There are little white flowers in the grey rocks...

... Kingfishers looking for a meal...

... and an occasional colored stone.

I decided to have a contest to see who can be the first to guess what this structure is in the bay south of Garibaldi. Guess in the comments section.

We took some tours around the area (Self guided) this on was to check out a trail at Cape Lookout that leads to a memorial for a crashed B-17 bomber...

on the way back and south of Netarts we stopped for a picture of an arched ocean stack...

... and found Moose Parking in Tillamook...

... not to mention some great sauces at Pacific Seafood.

Safely back at the RV at dusk...

...we went to eat at the Parkside Coffee House and Cafe great food and great people.

The next day we went on a hike to Munson Creek Falls where we came across this delicate fern...

... and the awesome and powerful Munson Creek  Falls.

We do love to eat andone of the best places in Tillamook is the Blue Heron where they had an "S" shaped tree for Sharyn...

... and a giant Roster...

The next day it was beautiful and full light

... and we found some oddities like this huge farm machinery in Downtown Tillamook...

... and a cow bench across from the museum...

... and a forest of Asparagus...

... and some beautiful flower arrangements at the Farmers Market...

... this was my "Best of Show" at the market great artistic tables with water colored effects following the wood's grain Look for "Yellow Fir" at Tillamook's Market.

Nearby was the Museum in Tillamook with a "Steam Donkey" outside...
and down the street a great little coffee house where Sharyn got some tea and $3 in change consisting of a $2 bill and a $1 Coin *lol*

The next day we drove to Cape Kawanda where people surf the ocean ...

... and the giant sand dune...
... but the waves are smaller but they are less passive...

... plus there is always an audience...

... and wetsuits.

Going back to Garibaldi we stopped for a picture of the huge rod and reel...

... and Sharyn got her tea at a great coffee Drive Thru called Yellow Dog Espresso a stop we made before driving through Nestucca Valley.

We found some Foxglove on the drive to Oceanside...

...where I found another photographer taking pictures of everything (remind you of anyone) from grains of sand to huge vistas...

... and it is the ocean so I got Surfers and the Pacific Ocean...

...and surfers and giant ocean rocks...

... a hillside community with spiral cut tree...

...and a rare Corvair powered RV called an UltraVan...

I may have just been "Brewin' in the Wind "
I did stop of a picture of the Foxglove covered hill...

Back at Tillamook RV where we had our awning replaced I had to get a shot of this little RV

I went out on the Pier in Garibaldi and caught a fisherman coming into shore... and a Red Footed Pigeon Guillemot(Cousin of the Puffin)
