We do observe Mother's Day in Oregon

Mother's Day in Oregon is observed by the weather with a sunny warm day.

The flowers are blooming...

... buds are opening ...

... and some husbands give gifts of flowers...

... lots of flowers

With only one of her sons in town a trip to Eugene for lunch was in order and with Isaac driving I got a picture of #19 being towed to a race along Interstate 5.

We arrived at Cafe Lucky Noodle just before noon and Sharyn commented on this flier for Electric Etouffee and the show they were doing in Drain "Gateway to the Pacific Coast", Oregon

I liked the light covers inside Cafe Lucky Noodle a cool place to eat noodles of both the Italian and Thai variety.

Sharyn was pleased to be there because she loves Pad Thai noodles and having Isaac along made the lunch all the more special.

The Cafe Lucky Noodle is always decorated nicely with fresh flowers and it's a nice touch.

I had the camera at the table and couldn't help trying to get a one of a kind special shot through the water carafe.

I did get one okay picture but it was fun trying.

Isaac is way too aware and smart to get a picture without him noticing and like many folks thinks I take way too many pictures and look a bit too touristy but he didn't frown and I got a good shot.

Then Isaac took a picture of his parents and managed to get a smile from us both.

Walking away you can see Shatyn's cool red shoes.

I got one more as they crossed 4th street where it runs behind the 5th Street Market.

Next to the 5th Street Market I got a picture of a lovely purple Iris.

I took one picture in downtown of this pyramid shaped skylight.

Then back home I took one more flower picture. We were home about one hour before we were off again to Seven Feathers RV park (see previous blog post).

All in all it was a nice Mother's Day with Sharyn getting cards and calls from all of our sons. She even talked to Matt in Belgium over the PC with voice and video for over an hour using Skype is that cool or what.
