4th of July Celebration (on the 3rd) Coos Bay, Oregon

I checked Wikipedia for the 4th of July
"In the United States, Independence Day (commonly known as the “Fourth of July,” “July Fourth”, the “Glorious Fourth”, or simply the “Fourth”) is a federal holiday commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, declaring independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain.

Independence Day is commonly associated with fireworks, parades, barbecues, picnics, baseball games, and various other public and private events celebrating the history, government, and traditions of the United States. Fireworks have been associated with the Fourth of July since 1777."

We planned ahead for this 4th of July last year and made reservations at "The Mill Casino RV Park." The celebration there was a day early on the 3rd of July to not conflict with other fireworks displays. Our next door neighbors of the world famous C&S Railroad drove over and spent the 3rd and 4th with us. What a treat! So as we sat out after eating out over charred pork ribs the fireworks started.

Some of the fireworks were delicate

Others lit the sky in golden flames. I wrote something to go with this picture so here it is like it or not.

Fire in the Sky

Burning the heavens
Scorching the sky
Tribute to freedom
The Fourth of July

I really liked how this picture turned out with the tri-colored spikes.

This on reminds me of the torch on the Statue of Liberty.

They were all spectacular.

The beauty of some took my breath away

The sky was a beautiful deep blue.

and framed the fireworks wonderfully.

Umbrellas of fire went on for almost an hour maybe more but who was keeping track of time when you wanted it to last even longer.

This one still amazes me

This was BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! section that woke up folks for miles around.

These looked like gold and silver waterfalls.

or a floating spider web

This one is like green rain from a golden sun.

Simply striking

Twin Spiders

or this like a white hot Eagle over a gold & pin fountain

Blue ball with a top hat ?

Full flight of a firework from ground to explosion

Red ski at night a sailors delight what a wonderful time to celebrate our country's Independence.
