The San Diego Viels, Ducks and a Lizard - Blog 3

Steven was working in LA so Martha brought the grand children to see us at the Chula Vista RV Resort and Marina located on a beautiful piece of land on San Diego Bay. Martha and David looked great and David is really growing now taller than mom.

Samantha looked great and was all smiles for grandma and grandpa.

Jason made a bee-line for the Musemobile...

... while Christian looked over the map of the world Sharyn brought him.

The grand children all looked great and Martha showed us Christian's and Samantha's Mathematics awards.

I just love that smile.

The kids love the house on wheels.

After they left I took some flower pictures and since we are in San Diego it didn't take long to find a "Bird of Paradise" ...

... then I found what looked like a lavender bottle brush.

I liked these pretty common blue flowers and ...

... their pink cousins.

From my spread on Farmville I think this is an Agave ...

... but I'm not quite sure what this tree with nodules might be.

I did really like the shape of this plant that reminded me of ...

some fireworks I've seen in the past.

Some people really know how to make a trip in the RV special.

The panorama here shows the tropical nature of the south western tip of the continental United States.

This is a nice resort that has guests - unlike us - with a 40 foot + land yacht and for their tow vehicle...

...was a Rolls Royce.

Color comes in palates of orange, green and brilliant blue in paradise...

... delicate and abundant ...

... almost exuding the warmth in the air.

It's not the Peabody Hotel in Memphis but it was great to see the marching ducks...

... complete with ducklings ...

... all out enjoying the sun.

Mom followed the babies keeping them together and out of trouble...

... while a helicopter flying over head...

... while on the ground a big lizard (I guessed about 6-8 inches long) stopped for a picture.

He wasn't at all worried about me taking pictures...

What a treat.

In other news I fixed a faucet leak, had dinner with Sharyn's cousin Bruce (the family engineering genius) at Soup Plantation and today lunch with Bruce at Zorba's Greek restaurant. Then today had Veron's Mobile detailing made our Musemobile look good as new.

No Scrabble tonight we are having dinner with Steven.
