Winter Snows

Well it's snowing at home and the sheep are eating as usual.

The hazelnut trees look decorated for Christmas over shadowed by the huge pines.

Our Mimosa looks like a dead stick with powdered sugar on the branches.

The Redbud tree in the corner of the yard looks more like a Whitebud.

There is a mystical beauty in some tiny branches looking like petitioners with arms upstretched to the heavens.

The wrought iron trellis creates a nook for the snow flakes or any other flakes hanging around.

The streets look like Massachusetts.

Again, here is the mimosa looking frail but graceful with curves.

I love the look but it isn't just beautiful but cold as well.

The fields are perfect for cross country skiing and ...

The sheep stopped eating and are looking for shelter. I love winter. It only proves it doesn't rain all the time in Oregon - some days we have snow.

Quote of the Day ~
“O, wind, if winter comes, can spring be far behind?” ~ Percy Bysshe Shelley (English Romantic Poet whose passionate search for personal love and social justice was gradually channeled from overt actions into poems that rank with the greatest in the English language. 1792-1822)
