The Vinyards - Part 2 of the Last Blog

I love this doggy picture.

After lunch in Patagonia we took off to Sonoita where we saw this statue of a cowboy...

... and I found out I had a new profession...

... finally making it to Wilhelm Family Vineyards...

...with their own guard dog at the door...

...named Chancellor

It isn't as green as the vineyards in Oregon but I like the dry look. Of course, the real test is the tasting...

... so we walked into the tasting room...

... where Terrie (Matt's friend from work and a wine expert) and Matt tried the offerings at Wilhelm offered by Melba.

Not being a wine expert I did get a few sips of their wine which I liked then took off outside for some pictures...

... and I liked the blue tractor in the golden field...

... and the huge tanks outside.

Meanwhile Matt and Terrie advised us on a few good choices...

... that we purchased and we even had them signed by the vintner...

... Karyl a wonderful woman who smiled for the camera ...

...despite a little acting in the background by Leah behind Karyl. How could they do anything but succeed with this kind of friendliness and such great wine.

Our next stop was the Kief-Joshua Vineyards a few miles up the road...

... and a beautiful wine tasting room/store.

My spotter, Sharyn, suggested this shot of the moon under the roof of the veranda, thanks Sharyn.

I walked out back to take in the scenery with wine barrels...

... and another tractor (yes another blue tractor) ...

...a stunning view of the grape vineyard...

... and a great looking outbuilding.

I did take time for a light and shadow shot on the stairwell...

... and a picture from the second floor of the vineyard...

... then downstairs a shot through the window...

...and the clocks on the wall.

The building at Keif-Joshua vineyard is a beautiful example of the best of the Mediterranean and Southwest architecture...

... with rock and stucco blended...

... with ornate ironwork...

... set perfectly in place and looking good with the ruggedized mini-musemobile...

... and a gorgeous almost full moon at sunset...

The drive back was great with a stop for a picture of an almost gone roof...

...a falling out building...

... and yet another windmill...

and a vanilla sky to the east ...

... and some golden fire to the west. It was a great day to be a human.
