Visiting Patty

We were in Washington and what better time to visit with Sharyn's cousin Patty.

Sharyn immediately started telling family stories of times gone by and family gatherings.

Patty was a little girl the first time I met her, rather shy and cute - she is still cute and playful but no longer shy after having lived with three brothers she has succeeded rather well in the tough Washington arena.

her town house was beautiful and the inside was extremely well decorated and with an impressive technology center giving her the ability to work either from home or in the office.

What I was most impressed by is that she has followed in her mom's footsteps when it comes to cooking and putting together the great meal we shared on her patio.

Of course I took some shots of the flowers...

...all very special with some blooming ...

...and some getting ready to bloom.

Being a photographer of odd shots I couldn't resist the light on the bottom of this spoon...

... or the girls whooping it up...

... but the really fun shot was one of Patty taking a picture of Sharyn and I thanks to a planter and the delayed shoot option on my camera.

It was a wonderful visit I'll remember of two sweet ladies, a great meal and a conversation containing almost every feeling of closeness imaginable.

All of this in the midst of incredible Crepe Myrtles.
